YELC Runs Amazing 3-Day Intersession: Women, Power & Health
For 3 full days in February we ran the first “Women, Power and Health” Intersession for our 11th grade Youth Women’s YELC. Intersession a is project-based learning opportunity at New Design High School, which allows students to have hands-on learning experience outside of school. Our program was an in-depth exploration of health and wellness, with 6 guest facilitators who led workshops on nutrition myths, health assessments, health and the media, healthy vegetarian cooking, creating a health vision board, and a natural spa day.
