HOOPS 4 HOPE
Our SKILLS 4 LIFE (S4L) Life Skills program reaches over 10,000 youth throughout Eastern
Zimbabwe and South Africa. The S4L Professional Development & Training component has
become the cornerstone of HOOPS’ professional culture. SLAM Magazine features an
article on HOOPS 4 HOPE in their August 2007 issue in which COMMUNITY of UNITY’s role
in their success is addressed.

POLLSMOR PRISON
The Department of Correctional Services in South Africa employs our SKILLS 4 LIFE
program with male inmates who meet twice a week to engage in the meaningful awakening
of the seven tools of the TOOLKIT. There are plans to expand the program to other prisons
across the country.

UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS
CofU Founder Eric Komoroff has been identified as an expert and visionary in adolescent
empowerment programming by The Center for Mindfulness at The UMASS Medical School.

BANK STREET COLLEGE of EDUCATION
Eric Komoroff is teaching courses at The Bank Street College of Education on School
Culture Development and Advisory Programs.
NEWSDAY NEWSPAPER
Our Teachers Guide, “BRINGING LIFE SKILLS TO THE CLASSROOM” has been
implemented in 135 public schools  throughout Suffolk and Nassau Counties and New York
City, reaching potentially thousands of students. In support ofthis program NEWSDAY has
launched a permanent COMMUNITY of UNITY section on its website (www.newsday.com).
This resource environment contains support activities, strategies, theory, and best practices
for youth professionals.

FAITHSPACE
The Auburn Theological Seminary’s Center for Multi-Faith Education brought partnered
with us to develop after-school programs for NYC youth that equip future faith leaders with
the tools to pursue peaceful interventions in their communities. Its target population consists
of adolescents belonging to historically opposed religious/ethnic/racial groups in conflict
around the world
- including the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian faiths.

A-HA! LEARNING CENTER
Eric Komoroff teaches a weekly parent learning & support group with A-HA! Founder Don
Burton.  A-HA! is a community of parents and child development specialists committed to
taking an informed & active role in their children's learning and development.

COco
The COco Foundation is supporting the creation of a large-scale photo essay celebrating
our Youth Empowering programs. Photographer Susanne Michelus will be shooting images
from a variety of our programs over a six-month period for a book and exhibit to be
completed by October 2007.

DESIGN 4 LIFE
Our Design for Life (DFL) Advisory program reaches over 400 students twice daily at New
Design High School, providing an essential opportunity for relationship building,
enrichment experiences, academic support and school culture building.

BANYAN EDUCATION
In 2007 we brought Banyan Education’s stress management & meditative programs to over
400 students at New Design High School.
